Winter's Tale- Symbolism of Leontes' getting rid of the baby

Leontes' disposing the baby symbolises his disregard for life and how bastard children were viewed in the days of Shakespeare. Leontes hated the child so much that he cared less about it being a life than he did about the baby not being his child and yet the child of his childhood and best friend Polixenes and his own dear queen.

Betrayal is a theme introduced at the very beginning of this play. How does this constant stream of betrayal affect the outcome of the plot, and which characters are most affected by it?

Betrayal is one main motif in the play, Much Ado About Nothing which gravely affects the outcome of the plot. It also affects many characters in the play. First, Beatrice and Benedick are both  positively affected by being betrayed into falling in love.Second, Claudio is deceived by Don John and Borachio into thinking Hero was mpure.Third, Margaret's betrayal  by Borachio may seem minor but it affects the outcome of the plot and the characters also.

Don Pedro, Claudio, Hero and some other characters devise a plan for the two enemies to end their 'merewar' . They decide to execute their plan.Hero and a maid decveive Beatrice  by gossiping about  Benedick being secrely i love with Beatrice while she eavesdrops on  their conversation. The same is done to Benedick by Don Pedro, Claudio and Leonato. The two enemies fell madly in love with each other. This resolve one issue  and helps with the unravelling of the plot. These two characters are positively affected by this because instead of insulting each other, they are now able to profess their love for each other and create peace between each other.

Borachio and Don John devise a plan to destroy Hero's wedding. This is a form of deceit  as they frame Hero. Borachio pretends to be engaged in questionable activity in Hero's room with Margaret who is dressed in Hero's clothes.
